Ingredients
Scale
Puff Pastry
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
Filling
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 oz brie cheese, cut into small cubes
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Egg Wash
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Prepare the Puff Pastry: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 12 equal squares.
- Fill the Pastry: Place each puff pastry square into a mini muffin tin to form a cup shape. Add a cube of brie cheese into each pastry cup.
- Add Cranberry Sauce and Seasoning: Spoon about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce over the brie in each cup. If using, add a pinch of finely chopped fresh rosemary and drizzle a small amount of honey over the top. Season with a small pinch of salt and pepper as desired.
- Apply Egg Wash: Brush the edges of each puff pastry cup with the beaten egg to ensure a golden, glossy finish when baked.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from oven and let the cranberry brie bites cool for a few minutes before carefully removing them from the muffin tin. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer.
Notes
- Allow puff pastry to thaw completely for best results.
- Substitute brie with camembert or cream cheese for a different flavor.
- Use homemade cranberry sauce for a fresher taste, or store-bought for convenience.
- Fresh rosemary is optional but adds a lovely aroma and flavor.
- These bites are best served warm but can be made ahead and reheated gently in the oven.
