Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Base
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Sauce and Cheese
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Toppings
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni or mini pepperoni
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup diced green bell peppers
- 1/4 cup diced red bell peppers
Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Shape the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough into a large triangle shape, mimicking the form of a Christmas tree. Transfer this shaped dough to the prepared baking sheet carefully.
- Prepare the Base: Lightly brush the surface of the shaped dough with olive oil to create a golden crust and enhance flavor.
- Add Sauce and Cheese: Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses on top to create a cheesy layer.
- Decorate the Tree: Use the pepperoni, black olives, and diced bell peppers to decorate the pizza tree. Arrange them as garlands, ornaments, and optionally create a star shape at the top for extra festive touch. Sprinkle Italian seasoning evenly over all toppings.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 14 to 18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use cookie cutters to cut pepperoni or vegetables into star or ornament shapes to enhance the festive appearance.
- For a green Christmas tree effect, substitute pesto for the pizza sauce.
- Ensure to not overbake to keep the crust tender yet crispy.
