Ingredients
Scale
Vegetables
- 2 medium zucchinis, sliced thinly
- 1 1/2 cups mushrooms, sliced
Seasonings
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Fat
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
Instructions
- Heat the fat: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat to prepare the pan for sautéing the vegetables.
- Cook the vegetables: Add the sliced zucchini and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables begin to soften and become tender.
- Add garlic and thyme: Stir in the minced garlic and fresh thyme, cooking for another 2–3 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and the vegetables reach desired tenderness.
- Season and garnish: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use olive oil for a lighter, healthier option or butter for a richer flavor.
- Fresh thyme enhances the herbal aroma; dried thyme can be used but reduce quantity to 1/2 tsp.
- Slice vegetables uniformly for even cooking.
- Can be served as a side dish or tossed with pasta or grains for a light meal.
- For a vegan version, use olive oil instead of butter.
