Description
Hanky Panky Sliders are juicy, flavorful mini beef burgers cooked to perfection with a blend of finely chopped onion, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Topped with melted cheddar cheese and tangy pickle slices, these sliders are toasted in butter for a crispy finish, making a perfect quick and satisfying meal or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Patties
- 500g ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly
- 4 slider buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- Pickle slices
- Butter for toasting buns
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until evenly combined, being careful not to overwork the meat to keep the patties tender.
- Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each into small patties slightly larger than the slider buns to account for shrinkage during cooking.
- Cook the Patties: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side until browned. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Melt the Cheese: During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover the skillet briefly to allow the cheese to melt perfectly.
- Toast the Buns: While the cheese melts, spread butter on the inside of the slider buns and toast them in a separate pan or on a griddle until golden and slightly crispy.
- Assemble the Sliders: Place the toasted bottom bun on a plate, add the cheesy patty on top, lay some pickle slices over the cheese, and finish with the top bun.
- Serve Immediately: Serve the sliders hot for the best flavor and texture experience.
Notes
- Do not overmix the meat to keep patties tender.
- Adjust salt and pepper to your taste.
- Use a cast-iron skillet for best searing results.
- Slider buns can be substituted with small brioche buns for a richer flavor.
- Add ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise as desired for extra flavor.
