Description

Delicious Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon featuring tender, seared fillets coated in a sticky, flavorful honey garlic sauce, perfect for a quick and healthy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

Marinade & Sauce

  • 1/3 cup pure honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep Ingredients: Mince the garlic cloves and measure out the honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice to prepare your marinade.
  2. Make Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, low-sodium soy sauce, and freshly squeezed lemon juice until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Marinate Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let the salmon marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  4. Heat Olive Oil: Warm 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until the oil shimmers, indicating it is hot enough for searing.
  5. Sear Salmon: Add the salmon fillets to the skillet skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Simmer with Marinade: Flip the salmon fillets carefully and pour the remaining marinade into the pan. Allow it to simmer for 3-4 minutes, letting the sauce thicken and become glossy.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped green onions on top to garnish before serving.

Notes

  • Marinate the salmon for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 1 hour to prevent the acids in the lemon juice from cooking the fish.
  • If you prefer, use skinless salmon, but the skin adds a nice texture when seared.
  • Serve with steamed rice or a fresh green salad for a balanced meal.
  • For a spicier twist, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
