Ingredients
Scale
Fruit and Vegetables
- 2 cups watermelon, cubed
- 2 cups cantaloupe, cubed
- 1 cup cucumber, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, torn
Dressing
- 2 tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and Prepare Ingredients: Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly under cold running water. Cut the watermelon and cantaloupe into bite-sized cubes and thinly slice the cucumber for a balanced texture.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the watermelon cubes, cantaloupe chunks, cucumber slices, and the torn fresh mint leaves. Use a wooden spoon to gently mix everything evenly without crushing the fruit.
- Add Dressing: Squeeze fresh lime juice evenly over the fruit mixture. Drizzle honey over the salad if you prefer a hint of sweetness. Toss gently to coat all ingredients with the dressing.
- Chill: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to cool perfectly.
- Serve: Once chilled, serve the salad in individual bowls or on a platter, garnished with extra fresh mint leaves for a fresh aroma and attractive presentation.
Notes
- Honey is optional and can be omitted for a natural fruit sweetness or substituted with agave syrup for a vegan option.
- Make sure to refrigerate the salad to enhance flavor blending and maintain crispness.
- Use fresh mint leaves for the best flavor; dried mint will not provide the same refreshing taste.
- This salad is best enjoyed within 24 hours for optimal freshness.
