Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 30 waffle pretzels
- 30 Rolo candies (or substitute with Hershey’s Kisses)
- 30 M&M candies
- Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for melting the Rolo candies over the pretzels.
- Arrange pretzels: Lay the 30 waffle pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them evenly to allow the chocolate to melt without running into each other.
- Add Rolo candies: Unwrap each Rolo and place one on top of each pretzel. The caramel in the Rolo will melt and create a gooey center.
- Bake the pretzels: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 3-5 minutes, just until the Rolos are softened but not fully melted to ensure they keep their shape.
- Top with M&Ms: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately press one M&M candy onto the center of each melted Rolo to add color and extra sweetness.
- Decorate with sprinkles: If desired, sprinkle the treats with decorative sprinkles while the chocolate is still warm to help them stick.
- Cool and set: Allow the pretzels to cool completely at room temperature or place them in the refrigerator to speed up the setting process so the chocolate hardens and holds all the components together.
Notes
- Use waffle pretzels for their flat surface which helps hold the Rolo candies better.
- You can substitute Rolos with Hershey’s Kisses if preferred, though the flavor will differ.
- These treats are best served the same day but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- If you want to avoid caramel stickiness, allow the Rolos to cool slightly before pressing the M&Ms.
- Feel free to customize with different colored M&Ms or sprinkles to match seasonal themes or parties.
